Music
In December ‘25, I started exploring and creating music. Though my appreciation for music runs deep, I never pursued creating it. I briefly studied piano as a child but competing interests and my aversion to recital performances took me off that path.
I do not consider myself a musician but rather an enthusiast who enjoy getting his hands dirty and learning. This creative outlet has reinvigorated my imagination in so many ways that I can’t possibly see straying from this path again.
Phantom Photons
I am actively working on a space themed project called Phantom Photons. It has been a fun way of learning how to record, compose, edit, and master audio. Currently, I have a microphone and two midi controllers. I am very interested in recording my own sounds and clips to be used in my compositions. Any constructive advice is welcomed and appreciated.
Intro to Space - Not into crime dramas or take pride in solving complicated mysteries? Never fear, this track is as transparent as cellophane. This was one of my first compellations in not only exploring the space theme but also was part of the inaugural batch of tracks first created.
Weightless - Congratulations, your ship just broke down. Having paced around and contemplated your next move, you decide a space walk is in order to assess your damaged ship. While in the vacuum of space, after most of the terror subsides, you can’t help but to admire your surroundings as you weightlessly move about while tethered to your incapacitated ship.
Stasis - Well my friend, not all news is good news. During a raid your ship was compromised and one of your crew was taken, cryogenically frozen, and is actively being transported to who knows where. Thanks to your craftiness and quick wit you snuck aboard their ship but you still need to work out how you are going to free them without being detected.
Hope Springs - Though space can be unforgiving, it is beautiful and full of potential. Filled with the thrill of exploration, you lock in and contain your excitement to near healthy levels.
Daydream’s End - The story of this album ends with a young child snapping out of a daydream. The stories and songs of the album were figments of escaping piano lessons. There is a sadness as the temporary world delaminates but don’t feel too bad, he turns out alright.
Planet Walk - You have dreamt of this moment after countless hours of playing “No Man’s Sky - 2057”. Finally, you have a rare opportunity to explore a new planet for the first time. Not many things rival the feeling for of exploring somewhere new.
27 Lives - Maybe it’s time to check the cargo bay for some spilled catnip; or maybe this was just another random encounter. Either way these felines are more interested in partying their way through the universe than looting. Finally, some luck!
Other Compilations
Nine Lanes of Highway - This is mix I put together in a few hours. The “lanes” refer to the number of zones that make up piece.
In parallel to my space themed project, I have been working on other songs and samples to further my music education.
Walking on the Wall - Just a dog walking on the sea wall without a care in the world.
Walking Taco - Did anyone ask for some strings? No, okay…well here are some anyways. This quick medley was a fun one to build. It took about four hours to write the melody from scratch and features some controlled arpeggiation.
